Christmas 2024 Opening Hours

It’s that time of year! With the two weeks of Christmas and New Year upon us, we’re releasing our 2024 Opening Times covering from Tuesday December 24th 2024 until Thursday January 2nd 2025 (inclusive). Right up until December 23rd 2024 and from January 3rd 2025 all our Foodbank Centres will be open as normal.

The main things to note are the changes to our Foodbank Centre times and locations on Christmas Eve. Penilee will be CLOSED and instead we will run a morning Foodbank Centre at Cardonald between 10am and 12noon. In the afternoon of Christmas Eve our Linthouse Foodbank Centre will be open between 12noon and 2pm, which is a different time to normal. Also, our Thursday Priesthill Foodbank Centre will be CLOSED both weeks.

If you have a referral to use one of our Foodbank Centres, you can come to whichever suits you best, it doesn’t have to be the one stated on the referral. If you do think you will need to come and see us, plan ahead. A lot of our Referral Agencies will be closed for the entire two week period from Friday December 20th 2024 right through to Monday January 6th 2025.

Please be patient with our staff and volunteers if you are coming along to a Foodbank Centre over the next two weeks, understandably we will be running with much smaller teams than normal as a lot of our volunteers take time away to celebrate with their families. Not all of the Glasgow Trussell Foodbanks remain open over the festive period, we make a choice to remain open as normally as possible. While we understand that this is a stressful and emotional time for a lot of the people coming to use our services, abuse of our volunteers and staff will not be tolerated in any form.
