Donate food and toiletries
For a long time more than 90% of the food and basic toiletries we shared with people were donated to us.
That has fallen significantly but it is still an an astonishing volume of food donations and there is no way we could cope without these. Sadly the number of people needing our help is soaring and as a result we are having to buy more and more items. This is in itself a challenge as we don’t receive regular funding and very little other funding from any level of government. Our only regular income is from standing order donations which are a bit over £1,000 per month. Most of these are Gift Aided which means we get an extra 25% tax back from the Government at no cost to the donor.
The main items we buy regularly are long life milk, diluting juice, tinned fruit meat vegetables and fish, pasta sauce, tea, coffee, sugar, toilet rolls.
We appreciate any donations – small or large.
We are delighted to receive donations at Ibrox Parish Church on Mondays from 11-2 and at Hillington Park Church on Fridays from 9.30-12.30.
